What are the Bett Awards?

The Bett Awards are the "EdTech industry’s pinnacle of recognition" and are often described as the 'Oscars of EdTech'. The awards recognise companies, schools and companies who are leading the way in the EdTech industry.

Bett Award winners are "seen to have excelled in genuinely innovative ICT provision and support for educators with a clear focus on transforming education".

Why did Your Favourite Teacher win?

The Bett Awards judges were "extremely impressed by Your Favourite Teacher's engaging and relevant content for students studying their GCSEs."

They liked the fact that our "online reporting tools encourage independent learning, whilst allowing progress to be monitored".

Furthermore, they liked the fact that our "competitions, annual events and gamification [features] rewarded with coins, badges and certificates motivate students to learn".  

Our response to being a 2022 Bett Award winner

Kate Meeks (right), Founder and English Teacher, and Emma Lyon (left), Client Relationship Manager, attended the Bett Awards in London on the 23rd March, where Your Favourite Teacher won the award for 'Best Resource for Parents or Home Learning'. 

In response to winning Kate said:

"Winning the BETT awards was an incredible honour and genuine shock! As a small company we have found the pandemic particularly tricky, but this achievement proves the value in the product and content our team of teachers have worked so hard to build. It was such fantastic recognition and means so much to us all. Thank you!"
